Hi there! So good to see you here :). I hope you enjoyed the album adventure yesterday. You can always go back - just press number 1 on that calendar icon above. Now, let's get into the second song...
BEHIND THE SONG: Brand new love is exciting, thrilling, full of possibilties. But when the day is stripped away and you stand opposite a person you've known and loved for a long time and you really see them for who they are, that's real love to me. In a world where so much is temporary and disposable, sometimes we forget to appreciate the things that aren't 'new' anymore. Sometimes those things are the most valuable of all and shouldn't be taken for granted. This song celebrates long-lasting love and we could all do with more of that in our lives, don't you think? ❤️
Have you been noticing the Japanese infuences in my work - particularly the videos and artwork? I spent a couple of years in Nagoya, singing with a band, and completely fell in love with the country. If you click around this page you'll find links under some of the little pictures that will take you to a couple of songs I wrote, with a Japanese writer, while I was there.
In this video below, I talk about how I write and record my songs. This is another video that's just between you and me - would love to hear your thoughts on it. Don't be shy to write a comment at this bottom of this page.
And as usual, you can find the download and stream for this song, towards the bottom of this page.
